Introduction

GSDF promotes gender equality and the empowerment of women and girls across Global South countries by supporting inclusive policies, leadership development, education, and community-driven initiatives.

Why This Matters in the Global South

Women and gender-diverse communities in the Global South continue to face structural barriers related to education, health, economic participation, leadership, and safety. Advancing gender equality is essential for sustainable development, social justice, and inclusive growth.

GSDF’s Approach & Initiatives

Indigenous Knowledge & Local Contexts

GSDF recognizes women as key custodians of indigenous knowledge, cultural traditions, health practices, agriculture, and community resilience. We support initiatives that amplify women’s voices, leadership, and intergenerational knowledge within culturally respectful frameworks.

Impact Stories & Learning

GSDF-supported initiatives have strengthened women’s leadership, improved access to education and skills, and enhanced community resilience through inclusive and locally grounded approaches.

Bali Sruti Website Launch

This initiative was launched in alignment with The 11th World Conference on Women’s Studies (WCWS 2025), reflecting the conference’s strong commitment to translating academic knowledge into meaningful, real-world impact. In line with this vision, TIIKM visited the Bali Sruti Foundation in May 2025 and initiated a purposeful collaboration aimed at supporting community-driven development through sustainable and knowledge-based interventions.

As part of TIIKM’s Corporate Social Responsibility (CSR) commitment to contributing to society, dedicated support was extended to design, develop, and launch the foundation’s official website. This effort was not limited to technical development alone; it also focused on creating a user-friendly, informative, and globally accessible platform that effectively communicates the foundation’s mission, programs, and impact. By strengthening its digital presence, the initiative enhances the foundation’s ability to connect with international stakeholders, attract potential partners and donors, and expand its outreach beyond local boundaries.

Furthermore, this collaboration reflects TIIKM’s broader objective of empowering grassroots organizations by leveraging digital solutions and global networks. By enabling the Bali Sruti Foundation to establish a strong online identity, the initiative contributes to increasing awareness of its work, improving engagement with wider communities, and ensuring long-term sustainability. Ultimately, this CSR effort demonstrates how academic platforms and institutions can play a transformative role in supporting societal development and fostering inclusive, community-centered growth.
